hi,
i'm having bunch of issues getting imessages sync across iphone 4s, ipad 2, , macbook pro. i'll start saying running up-to-date software , nothing jailbroken. used android user of contacts set on devices sync google account address book. here problems i'm having:
1) when text iphone users, imessages work should except 1 friend. has iphone sends text , both have imessages enabled. ideas here?
2) imessages won't sync ipad. have set receive imessages @ email address apple id. no clue why won't work correctly because have friend has set exact same way doesn't have problems. imessages set received @ both phone number , apple id on iphone.
3) on macbook, imessages receive contacts i've created since got iphone. think happening because they're being created contacts phone , not google. however, these contacts still show under google contacts too. makes me think there's strange going on because contacts sync both ways between google , apple address book should have same behavior.
4) lastly, anytime send imessage macbook shows other person being email. there way these show being sent phone? also, since i'm receiving few contacts' imessages on laptop, if respond them on computer show phone number or email? seems send email wouldn't create new messages thread? annoying send text someone's phone response comes in different source.
sorry novel , help.
not sure if help, give try...
on iphone, in settings > messages > receive @ ... have iphone number primary , add email(-s) secondary. on other idevices, have email(-s) listed.
may need imessage non-phone devices (ipad or mac) once set internally on device. after that, should sync... hopefully.
worked me - iphone iphone showed on iphone, once sent imessage same person via ipad, showed on iphone , ipad on. however, note if 1 off or "alseep" @ time, missed imessages won't downloaded next time open message app.
