i have 2011 macbook pro (15" matte screen, 2.0ghtz i7, 8gb ram, 500gb drive) , have offer trade 2010 imac (21", 3.6 i5, 8gb ram , 1tb drive) plus 16gb ipad 2 wifi.. i'm tempted.. came across offer looking low price ipad kid. barley ever take mbp me won't miss portability (and have ipad 3 myself when travel take that). 75% of time use computer web-browsing , emails.. rest of time in iphone, aperture , light editing in photoshop..
taking big of step backwards? i'd going quad core dual core w/ ht.. ram same (although try , bump imac 16 if help). know browsing irrelevant change in aperture i'm wondering if i'll sick of pinwheel... hd double on imac plus because have 70gb free now. (i lot of pics , keep them on primary drive , them externally).
think? keep have or swap??

well lot of depends on use computer for. imac still capable machine , serve well, tied desk. mbp more powerful , more capable imac. addition of ipad nice touch remember ipad not adequate replacement mbp. not bad deal per se depends on needs , how value portability. if want ipad , ok working on desk set trade , serve well.
