Hard Drive Failing?

i in search of data recovery app. have precious photos , video files cherish on external hard drive.
whenever plug computer, nothing appears in finder. appears on disk utility though. tried repairing it, tells me should try recover files, up, , reformat it.
, that's why need data recovery app.

guys have suggestions? thanks.

 

to retrieve files, have been deleted , been emptied trash, can use

data rescue 3 (trial lets scan hdd , see, if data recoverable, recover files, need buy full version 99 usd) or
filesalvage (trial lets scan hdd , see, if data recoverable, recover files, need buy full version 89.95 usd).
diskdrill - lets recover data hfs/hfs+, fat, ntfs & other file systems right on mac[/i].​

know, should stop writing processes actual hdd. if same hdd 1 operating system (os) resides on, better use external hdd mac os x on boot , install data rescue or filesalvage onto scan hdd data has been accidentally deleted.

can click mount button in disk utility?
