Apple Won't Replace my Iphone because Screen is Cracked

so went apple last week because iphone 3gs keeps randomly turning off , not turn on when hold power button or when hold home , power button or when plug computer. when charge through charger attached wall, turns on starts brand new iphone anyways went apple store last week , 1 guy inspected , said thing restore or pay 160 new iphone. asked why couldnt replace because there wrong phone. , tells me because there small crack in front glass. went home, restored iphone , worked fine couple weeks same thing happened. going store today fixed wondering normal rule? jusdt because have small crack in bottom of screen refuse replace free though there flaw in phone itself? there genius bar workers them me , replace phone? thanks!

3gs say? bet it'll out of warranty anyway , therefore you're not entitled free replacement
