Disable 3G when throttled by AT&T ?

anyone has been throttled, did disable 3g? since speeds same edge?

 

i've not been throttled before i've heard edge might faster throttled 3g speeds. i'd switch off 3g if throttled though, there's more coverage anyway , saves battery.
