OS 10.8 and 2009 Firmware Upgrade

has in forums tried 10.8 developer previews firmware upgraded 2009 macpro?

curious if thinks apple gonna throw monkey wrench in works prevent installation of upcoming os.

hope not, i've invested in faster ram , cpu waiting @ moment reinstall firmware , install cpu i'm still under apple care , debating whether or not wait till expires.
knowing impatience before expires.

 

works fine. except cisco vpn.
