MBP Hard Drive Issue

in aptly bonehead move spilled tap on mbp, on , plugged in. removed back, battery, hard drive , let sit week before touching again.

after reassembly , testing, realize motherboard fried tap content minerals. again removed elements before , time, hoped @ least hard drive salvaged.

initially, imac saw , read hard drive (docked) , able retrieve files when hard drive ejected itself. ever since, hard drive not boot. can feel start turn off, never registering on imac.

so... hard drive dead , situation hopeless? have lost content of mbp hard drive? if can on own, i'd rather.

appreciated.

finally, yes, have learned should drives habit , not response emergency.
