iphone 4 driver not working on pc

hi guys im sure has been asked before, had bit of search couldnt find it
when conect phone comes in itunes not on computer running vista, asks install driver comes windows found new software encoutntered error while instaling it
been trying fix , has got yellow triangle in device manager next iphone, ive uninstalled itunes , stuff , reinstalled still dosnt work
ive got broken screen , phones off fixed thats why want photos off @ moment phone , pc end in toilet great , stop these guys going swim

i'd try remove , reinstall latest itunes version.
if pc still has problems recognizing plug computer retrieve pics.
