add new contacts in address book to 4S

i have long list of work contacts add new iphone 4s. type them address book on mbp lion , synch them over, without affecting existing contacts on iphone.

have read few threads on , clarification, not want lose 500+ contacts on iphone not in macbook address book. not want current iphone contacts in mbp address book vice versa. tips on how this?

on mbp, go safari. type in www.icloud.com. login icloud apple id. once logged in, click "contacts" icon , add contacts desired existing icloud contacts.

after have done this, go settings > icloud, on 4s , make sure logged in , contacts tab selected on. once have done this, go contacts list on iphone , hit refresh arrow , newly added contacts push mbp icloud 4s.
