this topic has been mentioned in long , confusing previous thread, did not resolve - or seemingly understand - issue.
have iphone , macbook air. mba has small hard disk, in fact, twice size of iphone, try keep free of data possible. have downloaded apps phone, not many.
new icloud backup system phones, itunes backing becomes more confusing before.
backing phone icloud prevent disasters , synchronise phone itunes moving music/podcasts etc.
however, itunes 'backing up' iphone apps computer. don't want this. why? because has copied of iphone apps folder inside itunes media on mac - 2 gigs. worse, delete app iphone, sync, it's still in itunes. can't delete it's not syncing anyway!
need unsync apps itunes, 'delete apps phone?' dialogue. of course don't want delete apps phone! want them off mac. there must way of doing this.
if not, know if can delete apps phone - itunes wants - , unsync iphone , re-download of iphone apps using apple id? or lost?
having had awful icloud experience of inexplicably lost contacts already, don't want risk losing apps, want them out of laptop's itunes folder.
