bad email formating

hi, have problems email formating in lion , mail app. in preferences there set tahoma 10pt emails , signature created tahoma 10pt. first problem see characters small magnifing scope, in reality tahoma 10pt enaugh (experiences win , pc). when send email, receiver see in serif font, not tahoma, , size 10pt. receiver signature in tahoma font bigger 10pt. dont understand problem. have same problem , solution?

10pt little small imho. i've set 12pt in prefs. maybe pc manages fonts differently compared mac

are sure receiver's mail app not override custom font in mail? sure send email in html format (and not plain text)? receiver pc have tahoma font installed?
