2010 i5 3.6 21.5", snow leopard (10.6.8)
added 8 gb of ram stock 4 in december , shortly afterwards began have random/infrequent system freezes 3 beeps repeating until hard shutdown.
sought advice , decided reseating next step. put off frequency of these freezes increased dramatically on last few days did thorough , satisfying reseat few hours ago. ran 30 minutes afterwards before happened again.
can find zillion threads on various forums have had similar problems, i'll darned if can find 1 instance came , posted resolution.
ram consistently tests ok in test i've thrown @ it.

zapped pram after initial post . . . 6 days no beep-freeze, until 2/11.
pulled stock ram , placed 'new' ram in main slots (farthest display side).
no freeze yet, ~ 1 day.
basic troubleshooting, remove last thing changed when started noticing problems.
bad part takes hours days see problem may take hours days test system.
take out sticks of ram added , run system few days week.
switch out ram purchased , repeat.
