samsung scx-4300 scan problem

hi,
there out there able use scanner on samsung scx-4300.

have mac mini connected samsung scx-4300, according apple website, software supports printing not scanning.
image capture says there 1 samsung scx-4300 scanner, when click overview, not scan.

friend using macbook pro can scan image capture, doesn't have idea why can it.

ideas?

sorry i'm ubernoob. purchased mac mini.

 

some problem after driver update

scanner worked fine - until update samsung printer drivers 2.3
