iMac out, MacBook Pro in. Thoughts?

i've been thinking of chopping 2008 imac 24", 3.06ghz, 500gb imac in macbook pro couple of weeks , have tentatively listed imac on ebay reserve. wondering guys thought that?

main reason portability. i'd prefer writing , web designing on macbook during long quiet shifts @ work.

i'm looking @ macbook pro 15", 2.4ghz, 750gb model.

thoughts, anyone?
