Syncin'g read status for messages in Mac Mail

hi guys,
of access email on variety of different media - phone, mac mail, different browsers etc. mail read sync'd such across of devices. works relatively except mac mail doesn't seem "know" have read particular message on device.

if read email on mac mail indeed marked read on server , therefore across of devices. if read email before mail pulls off server marked read. problem (and being quite liberal term) happens when mac mail running, , read email on device. mail isn't "rechecking" read status. there way turn on option?
