iPod touch Very frustrating JB Experience, would like assistance please.

hi, i'm new forum, seemed place issues =p

have third generation ipod touch running ios 4.2.1 jailbroke earlier today greenpois0n through terminal (i'm on macbook pro osx 10.7.3 , latest itunes) , worked fine, loader app empty couldn't install cydia. supposedly due greenpois0n site being down , recommended installing cydia through redsn0w. tried, when gets end of install says "exploiting through limera1n" briefly , says "unexpected error please reboot or use different usb port" , i've been trying both several hours , frustrated. if there way either:
a)fix loader app can install cydia should.
b)fix redsn0w can install cydia should.
c)install cydia manually don't have deal redsn0w or greenpois0n long time.

probably not, maybe version of redsn0w new? upgrade ios5 or download older version of redsn0w.
also, have no idea, but, 'usb port' error, device plugged in usb cable plugged in directly computer?
