HELP installing Snow Leo on laptop

its got intel celeron m 1.60ghz processor snow leo 10.6.0 20gb sata hdd 2gb ddr2 rx8 ram install on compaq fine , installer completed when restart kp , no matter ktexts select or options install kps every time towards bottom of kp says mac os x version: not yet set have never tried installing snow leo on hackintosh have used 10.5 can me?
