Using iMovie in a networked environment?

is possible set up?

lots of people here want use imovie, accounts have mean our folders such ~/movies/ stored on servers. when use imovie connection slow work efficiently , imovie spits errors, when try import same thing.

our machines have second local hard drive, use working directory imovie (and infact @ minute, laborious , 1 person in dept remembers how it). possible change working directory in imovie default either using symbolic links or editing preferences file?

 

you replace ~/movies folder alias folder on local hard drive , use way.
