2010 13'' Macbook Pro - good deal?

hello everyone! after long time lurking, first time posting. need advice , figured best place.

i'm selling 2010 13'' mba base model , i'm looking mbp refurb because think it'll better light video editing have in college. mba works fine programs photoshop , indesign, non-upgradeable ram , lack of firewire main reason exchange.
thing is, i'm on tight budget. can 13'' 2010 model 2.4ghz upgraded 1tb hard drive , 8 gb ram (i know, c2d) around 820. need laptop possible , can't afford newer core i5 , i7 models right now.

still, should pass , wait until new 2012 models released , 2011 models drop price? still not within budget, bit cheaper.

if going 2010 macbook pro try , top end 2.66ghz one, try , maximise upgrade 2010 mba. although still long way behind new mba's , mbp's in benchmarks cpu wise , may feel little less snappy in general because doesn't contain solid state drive...
