iPad 1 no longer connecting through dock - can anyone help?

all of sudden, ipad 1 dock connector stopped working few weeks ago: no longer sync on itunes, not react insertion of camera connection kit, no longer work hdmi connector , no longer charge properly.

if switch off ipad , connect mac or wall charger, ipad detect connection , automatically start up. itunes never detects ipad , ipad never enters proper charging

if leave long enough connected wall charger, charge, slower (and nevers shows "charging" icon). once charged, battery life ever not seem battery issue.

did try restore options, without change. bought replacement ipad connector flexible cable (internal part), performed replacement, without change!

since ipad out of warranty, paying 400€ apple refurbished ipad 3g 64go official "repair" option, , not seem smart...

else can try before giving up? read several threads on similar dock connector issues on ipad 1 , mentioned loosening screws holding internal ipad connector flexible cable solved issue 1 be?

long can charge @ night, can keep using on wifi , 3g, no longer being able use camera connection kit or display cable pain

 

must port or internal defect
