Apple CINEMA 27" For MAC and PC

hello. saving apple cinema want sure can use both of devices - latest macbook pro mini display port , windows pc box.
have checked several fromums , of them solution on 150$ kind of converter. maybe miss - can please advice options connect apple cinema desktop pc (running gtx 460 hawk graphic)

thinking if below idea work?


idea mini display port wire cinema goes coupler (both sides female) , goes mini display port dvi - , goes pc.

ideas work? experience?

 

as other threads pointed out, either such hdmi or dvi mdp converter, costs 120 150 usd, or gpu windows computer, displayport or mdp out.

proposal not work due hardware constraints.
