hello everyone,
friend ipad lte next week work telus in canada (my question not carrier, how tethering works).
cannot internet form cable or dsl because live far away, have lte connection in area... ?!?
anyway, right have usb 3g computer , she's paying 50$ per month 1g data. want ipad , since it's 35$ per month 5g , it's lte not 3g, want tether ipad instead of usb key , save lot of money...
sooo question : if ipad connected power source , hotspot active (do not care if it's usb cable, bluetooth or wifi), ipad stay on , share connection day without touching ?

i searched , didn't see seemed relevant, i'll short , point don't think complicated question, warrants complicated answer.
friend of mine has kid relationship gone bad.
father (proven) still in country , due in court in september charges of battery falsifying documents (ids , such).
deported doesn't know what's going on now.
wants child support.
anyway, she's not sure how go this, , i'm aware can/should call local bar association , they'll point in right direction, wanted see if here speak on issue in generalizations while she's mustering courage that, can @ least give idea of how worth it may persue.

firstly, don't think pro dead...at least hope not. second, use custom spec imac , works fine video editing on 27" screen...okay, things take little longer, it's not bad @ all.
if have choice, next machine pro though. let's hope don't ditch it. doubt it, have faith!

sorry, don't know of contests , if there chances of winning statistically not good. computer going yours own, or going church property? it's not clear post.
if it's going church property why not go local business or law firm , ask if want sponsor program. uni time. department got whole new computer lab way few years ago, , business school got new building.
if on other hand computer going yours own , want use while doing program, why not put sign on church noticeboard offering gardening, computer lessons, or whatever other service can think of earn money.

how epsxe running on osx natively(ish)

there 3 ways run windows-only emulator epsxe on apple computer.
1. install windows in bootcamp - gives better frame rates if computer having trouble , can work around few osx glitches.
2. virtualize windows in osx - parallels , vmware fusion should fine here. virtualbox still has problem usb devices being passed guests.
3. run epsxe wrapper - wineskin easiest free way this. creates fake windows environment each windows app, allowing run within osx without copy of windows.
covering wineskin method.
first, need fetch wineskin winery.

download app , drag application folder.
when first launch application, not have needs create proper wrapper, instead allow fetch latest stuff within app. how thoughtful.
click plus sign , download , install ws9wine1.5.8 engine. (1.5.9 latest of post, appears have problems recognizing available screen resolutions.)
edit: overlooked important when wrote this. apple bad writing drivers, in particular drivers amd/ati gpus. if blessed 1 of these, running latest wrapper bad idea. end rendered in software rather hardware, slow. there used workaround in wine 1.4.x days, holding developers back, in 1.5.1, removed. using wine engine based on 1.4 should fix this. there patched engine, "ws9wine1.5.12 amdspeedhack" lets latest version build use hardware acceleration, supposedly causes trouble glsl shaders."
next, notice "no wrapper installed" text. click update install newest wrapper.
edit: avoid 2.5.5 if running mountain lion. wrapper 2.5.6 stable, , fixed nightmares can occur when using mountain lion.
click "create new blank wrapper" , name whatever want. name of app, makes sense call "epsxe."
if firewall active, mac osx ask if let new wrapper connect internet. epsxe doesn't need that, deny it. also, cancel mono , gecko installers when asks because epsxe doesn't use anyway.
have nice new wrapper! go ahead , exit out of wineskin winery. done it.
now, need put emulator inside wrapper. when have installer, easy, epsxe doesn't use installer, have manually.
first, fetch epsxe. use latest version (1.7.0).

unzip file if osx didn't you. should see folder called "epsxe170" , bunch of little things inside. download , place whatever plugins want in plugins folder (eternal 1.41 , 1.50 great sound plugins, , peops ogl plugins nice too.) place playstation 1 bios dump in bios folder. (i not find one, , technically, need own playstation 1 legally permitted have file.)
epsxe has unspecified need file called zlib1.dll. download , place in epsxe170 folder.

now, need move epsxe folder wrapper. try launch epsxe wrapper created wineskin winery earlier. when asked, select "install software."
have manually because epsxe has no installer, wineskin makes pretty easy too. click on "move folder inside." choose epsxe170 folder. automatically find , assume want use epsxe.exe file when launch program. correct. click ok.
funsies, let's give version number , pretty icon. optional, simple might it. click advanced button once initial window comes up. change version "1.7.0" , icon, browse nice new one, 1 in link:

remember, want icns file, not png or ico file. click browse , select pretty new icon, close window red circle in upper left corner.
crush annoying bug. affect ati gpu owners. i'm not sure if matter intel or nvidia users. please let me know if have 1 of these cards , can test this. there black bar across top (or bottom, depending on resolution settings) obscures part of image. fix this, hold option , try launch epsxe wrapper. click "set screen options" , uncheck "decorate windows." fix black borders, make epsxe windows application again. oh well, of time spent in fullscreen mode anyway.
make sure have controller plugged mac before launch epsxe (so see it) , not disconnect until after exit epsxe (or crash it.) can use playstation-to-usb adaptors on mac fine, haptic feedback (vibration) not work. sadly, macosx doesn't know is, can't pass instruction along controller.
setup same pc @ point. let me know if have questions.
in example, set play xenogears. games, megaman x games, need further tweaks, similar pc settings.
edit: check attached images section revised gpu settings (no more missing dialog borders or botched compasses!) not working great xenogears, using 4xglslhqfilter shader program, megaman x games not terrible at!

know, emulating xenogears on pc difficult enough. use of wine adds layer of complexity. i'm hoping doesn't involve "use bootcamp" bear me.
i'm running epsxe 1.7.0 in mac osx 10.7.3 via wineskin. (by way, how awesome wineskin?
- white borders missing. starts happening in lahan when fei finishes painting. before then, fine. (edit: using 1.4.1 engine , revised gpu setting below fixed that)
- in fullscreen mode, top cut off, can't see of make adjustments because fps bar offscreen.
- in fullscreen @ 720p, there black bar on bottom. seems drawing area moved up, cutting off of top.
- in fullscreen @ 1080p, bottom cut off. absence of black bars tells me y resolution setting being exceeded. (edit: 1080p has same problem 720p. hmmmm)

hi guys, managed change screen managed put phone in restore mode, (the usb itunes logo), phone jailbroken, tried restore asking, kept coming 1015 code.
took fella yesterday managed put iphone software (not jailbroken) on £20, never told me not update have done , square 1 again, again 1015 code, don't want keep paying out £20 time, need jailbroken if possible, can please give me idiots guide novice @ this, phone on 02, , believe software put on yesterday 3.something , working fine until connected tunes , updated.

is there way can customise columns in finder. have ticked options date modified, date created, last opened (always greyed out), size, kind, version, comments, label. include file path doesn't seem possible. have click on each file see location in path bar. i'm new on mac , used able in windows explorer , it's frustrating me can't in finder. missing something?
have video files on place , need organised. have created smart folder find them lot of them different versions of same file (various edits) useful able see information, paths, size, last opened etc. in order able compare files , see ones can delete. ideas anyone?

hi,
have (what @ time) latest imac, os x snow leopard, 27" i5 processors etc.
partitioned hard drive within bootcamp , installed windows xp sp2 absolutley no problems @ all. can switch between os want on startup , windows loads fine.
however, next step, installing mac drivers windows has sound, graphics , wireless internet etc, when put os x install disc disc drive, bootcamp starts up, complains "bootcamp requires windows 7" , thing can press ok , closes box camp up. stuck?
can shed light on problem? ... appreciated on how fix have spent time , money on already.
