Update: Case Crack? Normal? Not a crack! False alarm... sorry!

**it's crazy deep scratch... took cover off , no sign of defect! case closed - sort of.... "who scratched mac?"

noticed crack on bottom of macbook pro 17 late 2011.

normal? i'm new mac , take such care of - makes me worry keep getting bigger on it's own , corner end falling off.

contacted apple, said "accidental damage" (but seriously...) , go closest repair place , they'll tell me take fix it. seems material quality issue aluminum.

else see this? i'm interested in how handled, me decide if want buy applecare or not.

definitely not normal. there musth have been fault in piece of aluminum milled part out of, resulting in delayed crack.

worst case scenario: make pay new bottom cover: $80 (iirc).
