Ripping Blu Rays? - Plex/iTunes

not sure if im pissing in wind.

bought mac mini use htpc... install plex , ios app ipad & iphone.

can rip of blu rays mac?

if still in full hd 1080p blu ray quality. if yes again each file size? - ive got digital download versions come in triple play boxes quality awful!

answer yes above assume need usb blu ray writer (not reader?) - link in uk compatible mac?

software need rip them also? - , need convert them particular format plex/itunes?
