Apple tv2 problem downloading new update!!!

i'm having trouble downloading latest update apple tv2. go update software , hit download , update , after minute or comes "the apple tv update not downloaded @ time. try again later. great i've unplugged unit , still same outcome. won't let me restore it. suggections!

apparently changing dns setting on router opendns or googles (8.8.8.8) fix
