bought mbp in mid 2009, local apple store in u.k.
had imac g5 isight in 2006 , started stray pixel lines until half screen covered decided macbook. silver case macbook 2008, long story short got water damaged took apple store.
told cheaper buy new 1 repair. wasnt sure explained previous problems macs, , how 1 broke easy slight spill. told ok buying uni student 3 years student warranty. said ok great , bought macbook pro.
6 months ago started notice flickering lines @ side of screen. moved screen see closer , went away. thought may of been angle on , forgot it.
on time lines got worse moving didnt stop , black ban went down right side of screen. called apple make appointment recently, , took genius bar.
told computer out of warranty, , extended warranty in store reduction of applecare. explained salesman told me if bought him today 3 year student deal instore. told seller highly thought of here, , doubt of said that. told them common problem should cared of out of warranty, internet full of same. manager told me if wanted find on internet will. if want see has never seen or heard of it. said apple site has models navida chips, said mine wasnt chip.
in end told , take away see problem (he said screen).
im graphic designer , cant without mac or cant earn living. way acting isnt going replace nor free fix im stuck.
can do? miss sold on info salesman told me. have issue common problem wont admit to.
