matte screen protector

ive used sgp matte screen protector on ipads. wonder if take away benefits if retina screen?

 

i breifly had 1 on iphone 4 , there noticable difference in picture qulaity. imagine new ipad similar. if hoping matte screen make easier view in sunlight, tradeoff isn't worth it.
