Display connection options - mini DisplayPort

hi,

i'm new mac loving new macbook air (mid 2011). taking along kinds of meetings present slides.

now, great able hook other displays in order present slides on bigger screen. people visit have macs, pcs , tvs.

have fair idea connection ports tvs, windows displays etc, mac? people meet on mac (some may have brand new displays, quite bit older displays) adapter need?

basically, seems i'll need kitbag variety of adapters output onto larger displays, guidance appreciated. mac displays (new , old) - mini-displayport adapters need cover (most) bases?
