Help with setting up old iPad for my kid

apologize if has been discussed. have old ipad 1 wifi, , have picked ipad 3 verizon. have of apps on ipad, , bunch of "kiddie" apps daughter. how can reset old ipad , set daughter?

 

i think fastest method set new user restore factory settings under device on itunes, , re-add "kiddie" apps want daughter have. way erases previous bookmarks , unneeded data/apps quickly.

maybe else has better method, think suffice.
