Running Windows 7 in VM Ware problem

i'm recent convert mac , having issues running windows 7 through vm ware ver. 4.1.1. install went smooth , have allocated 2 cores , 2864 mb (max allowable) memory. starting bootcamp through vm ware little slow not bad. when windows comes cannot click on start menu. acts processor running @ 100% , try start application on normal pc. slow doing simple right-click on takes 3-5 minutes. need install cad programs in windows cannot when things running slow. have of had issue? need (other purchasing pc run cad programs) things running should? in advance can give.
