New to macbook need some help

ok first let me start off saying new whole macbook thing i'm educated when comes computers. in process of installing owc data doubler owc 120gb mercury pro 6g ssd. want use ssd start computer , applications. (all want on there essentials) want use 500gb macintosh hd mass storage of music , files....i going use carbon copy cloner seems easiest have no idea suppose "check" ccc bare essentials on there. of there 120.5 gb of space used on 500gb drive , know of video , photos , music.i have heard people "user" file want make sure

as of 120 gb on hdd in users folder, collapse users folder on target side , deselect folders in home directory don't want clone.

can employ following method:

to find out, hard drive capacity being used, can use following free applications:

• diskinventory x
• omnidisksweeper
• jdisk report
• grandperspective

maybe try combination of several, if still can't find "missing" capacity.​
