HELP! Accidently deleted another users files

here's story.

girlfriend has imac (10.4.11) .. im more of pc guy dont know how these work. first mac i've ever used. use share computer ex boyfriend. have 2 accounts. mine , hers. we're both admins far can tell.

well, yesterday got internet , using kept getting "safari asking keychain password" pop ups. googled best can see , not. tried using login password didnt work, tried other stuff people suggested. (eventually went safaris preferences , fixed it).. but, while going , forth our accounts trying keychain access , stuff, may have accidently deleted of user stuff/profile. remember seeing folder ex boyfriends name on , thinking, why need this, i'll delete it. emptied trash plenty of times, restarted well, during whole keychain thing. @ end of night when logged in account, looked totally new account. desktop icons gone, wallpaper gone, no internet history, no pictures in photobooth..etc. think account may linked or under ex's name in harddrive account may named "deziree" screwed? have no idea did. check hard drive info , used space seems same before, have feeling stuff still on computer somewhere. in fact, ive found music had on itunes, nothing seems was. picture folder empty. im concerned pictures because cant replaced. if there way restore or find photobooth stuff uploaded images, id fine that,... if there way restore account way was, great.

im in desperate need of help. kind of system restore can go few days on mac? help! help!!
