i have had 3rd gen ipod touch since month after ccam out, started have somee problems, sold , got new 4th gen touch, there quite few differences consider problems wwith new iipod last ipod did not have. running ios 5.0.1, same version of ios running on last ipod. 1 of biggest differences speed. 3rd gen touch never had problems apps freezing or actual ios software freezing but, on new touch, may freeze several times day. pc had few years ago before switched mac. apps freeze, operating system freezes, , seems half fast s 3rg gen touch did. on last touch, when syncing computer on wifi or through cable, play game or surf web on device while syncing, on new touch, whenever sync it, freezes , causes problems syncing. anoter problem have found is, if double click home button, pick 2 clicks one, or may not pick them @ all. bring multi tasking bar, have press home buttion hard notice 2 clicks. gets annoying when trying bring multi tasking bar, goes on search screen instead. on third gen ipod had, multitasking worked seemlessly. difference found was, when trying on screen, slows down drastically, , of time not pick many of keystrokes. sometimes, when typing, think holding down key , bring accents key, when not. means typing hard. on 3rd gen, there never lagg when typing. there several other problems, few list them. faulty touch, or common fourth gen touches? when spend $300 on new device, gennerally expect work or better older out of date device. should go store , extange it? thanks,

really large problem forgot mention was, whenever requires internet connection, connection drop on ipod, or disconnect altogether. when surfing web.
your conclusion valid. brought real.
it- ipod touch 4th generation isn't built ios 5. can't handle it.
keyboard lags tremendously unfortunate. safari crashes constantly. battery life low.
, when lock ipod touch, hear lock sound 30 seconds later.
if can handle not having stored on it, can live it. however, ipod touch 4g deemed need upgrade now.
