Starting the Gym


i'm starting gym again after 4 years try , shape.

i'm interested in using treadmill. before used see how fast/far run in 30 minutes - best 4.7km. good?

i'm not going build muscle, burn fat , become healthier giving body workout.

want focus on running. should time myself increase distance (e.g. run further in 30 minutes every time visit) or run set distance each visit , try reduce time? 5k place start?

bought these trainers , fit when lean forward feel front stretching (at big toe). trainers become bit more slack wear?

obvious pieces of advice you'd recommend before begin?
 

a) wouldn't cardio, recommend doing core exercises well. encourage fat loss around abdomen , increase flexibility. having abs doesn't hurt. ;)

b) running @ gym won't give best fat loss results. doing high intensity cardio make fitter, isn't best way loose flat. people know combination of high intensity , low intensity cardio.

c) warm , stretch before main exercises. can still cramp form walking.

d) still recommend doing weight training. high reps, low weight encourage fat loss.

if want extreme weight loss plan. try wake doing hours worth of cardio/core exercises. in evening weight training in form of 4 day split.
