FaceTime freezes, cursor on the dock unfreezes...???

i searched forum , couldn't find on this...

running 2010 21.5" imac 10.7.3 combo update - i3 w/ 12gb ram, 8gb free , 200gb free on hdd.

started using facetime clean boot , regularly hangs... spinning beachball of death... until move cursor dock... if move cursor dock, "release" ft , video work/look fine. have had similar problems safari , clicking away or moving cursor dock 'unhangs' it...

far have...

verified , repaired permissions
verified , repaired disk
reset pram
reset smc

else having issue?
