my first new ipad suffered weird pink screen tint exchanged @ local apple store evening. replacement ipad came generic brown replacement box. since new ipad released apple employee insisted impossible replacement unit refurbished product didn't give concern. however, i'm starting think should have asked full refund , purchased new white boxed ipad 100% sure. there way can tell sure new unit not refurb? perhaps based off serial number? unfortunately chipmunk.nl serial number checker down @ moment.
