so looking media center/home mac , split between 2.5ghz mini or mba.
background: bought wife late 2010 11" mba (128gb ssd) last year , great.
sold aging 17" powerbook g4, , transferred user profile mba until got replace it.
love mba, space getting little tight on thinking of getting own system again.
live in tokyo , space limited in our apartment, want small (mac pro, mac pro, mac pro). if mini, hook 40" bravia display. mean mini doesn't have connect tv anymore dailyshow viewing pleasure.
questions:
1, find mba can't display flash video through 1080p hdmi port smoothly. resolved using plex these streams. also, mba can't smoothly playback full hd video content tv (for watching 3d movies). again, plex solves issue, can mini radeon gpu handle kind of usage? or possible in plex?
2, how mini handle games? haven't played in years, if capable, nice play few games, call of duty, command , conquer, dirt etc. not expecting have levels on high, play @ 1080 playable frame rate. expected mini?
3, mini come lion on usb? ssd , install @ system drive , change 2nd drive (getting cable first) tb range drive.
number 3 big no! love mini's lion on them not standard lion. usb stick lion not work. unless clone hdd recovery must done via net.
