so im in high school , interested in film making. lot of work premiere , after effects decent computer must. have 2011 base model imac 12gb ram , pretty - although crashed 15 times since bought 6 months ago. put on craigslist see got offered , guy offered me custom built hackintosh paid 1400 make. specs on paper (geekbench score around 8500), has 3.31 quad core processor 8gb ram 1tb hard drive blu ray drive 2gb dedicated vram radeon graphics card. has mac os x lion installed windows 7. know on paper specs r better imac , aware imac more stable/smooth. however, told him unfair trade give imac since although share similar price, mine made apple , more stable. understood , made me counter offer. why considering offer. said throw in white 16gb new ipad 2. in addition include 1080p 20" samsung monitor. seems deal video editor - know not fair trade pc imac, if includes ipad 2?! seems pretty decent trade me. use ipad school because dont have laptop. should trade? again, know wont stable imac (which incidentally has crashed several times) bonus of ipad , expandability options of mac pro, hard pass on offer. appreciated.
