How do I totally wipe my Macbook?

i have macbook want sell. i've restarted cd , totally wiped hd, i've reinstalled os (10.6.8), , still has user account on it. there seems no way remove users , have reset factory specs. i've found kinds of refs ways in older versions of os, don't apply in 10.6.8 apparently.

appreciate help. kind of in rush done before leave overseas.

you have clean install mac os x 10.6 snow leopard, , maybe select 1 if secure erase options in disk utility.

to create clean install (formerly known erase & install) of mac os x 10.6 snow leopard (the 29 usd upgrade dvd working retail version of mac os x , not need prior installation of mac os x on mac), follow 1 of following guides:
