Help with Express and Extreme set up?

i had started thread earlier today no internet. unplugged express , working fine.

want run both express , extreme keep running problems think. i'm using extreme router , express extend network floors.

keep getting "double nat" error extreme , express, error "extend network" , "wireless network". express, fluctuates between 0-1 clients (is normal?).

lights green, have no amber lights on actual units or on airport utility. have wireless throughout whole house while want fix errors, don't want mess , without internet again.

thoughts?

so not running ethernet cable ape?

run network bridged mode on. gives wired , wireless networks same ip address range (and avoids double-nat problem).

have not tried using of them router though. considering replacing westell that's choking under load of devices here ap extreme once can arsed go out , run cat-5 ont outside.
