Parallel 6 - "can't connect to parallel service"

i have issue parallel 6 see if else has had issue or similar issue potential solution.
pd6 ran 3-4 months on macmini on lion. doesn't work saying "can't connect parallel service". kb issue says stop/start services command returns "service not found" message. de-install pd6 following kb remove pd6 , resinstall. pd6 runs fine after reinstall after restart not start , has same issue.

macmini 2010
osx 10.7.3
pd6 build 6.0.12106
