so want thoughts on processes being used folks when editing photos on ipad...
me, see apple going post-pc era (it's great!) except... storage.
love fact can edit photos finger, , share them etc. awesome. what?
biggest ipad 64gb - that's 10,000 slr photos (with nothing else on device!)... that's not enough next 10 years of digital photo taking (or new device swapping)! have 11,000 running in iphoto!
so do storage in post-pc world?
cloud? if so, there'll have 1 copy cos i'll still run out of room on device! , 1 copy not sensible. go?
right now, take photos , transfer them laptop editing , storage - use iphoto/photoshop basic edits, , both have decent ios apps - have opportunity move photo processing post-pc era (with ipad, apps, , camera kit), i've store them! what's go?
interested in hearing people's thoughts on this, or if have system in place already.
ps: same principle applies home movies too.
i think answered own question. there still reasons have typical 'pc'. identified 1 of reasons.
think photo management should handled 'cloud'. right now, no 1 wants maintain thousands of full res pictures. they'll it, costly. , none have proper interfaces make work seamlessly. not that, not trust 'cloud' folk maintain sole copy of photographs.
...someday it'll happen though! pay apple maintain music , movies, (or else) find way manage photographs in cost effective way.
purposes, use macbook air (which has 128gb) photographs. use iphoto mostly. mac version of iphoto can have multiple libraries, create new empty library every often, , move large 1 off nas backup. wonder if similar ipad version of iphoto.
