looking (and affordable) external display (min. 23") 2011 mba 13" , love have input , suggestions has worked here. obviously, 27" apple cinema display nice option way outside budget (and large screen desk). considering old 24" apple cinema display understand there have been problems using monitor via thunderbolt port. have old 19" hp monitor , fun tried using apple mdp dvi connector , nothing shows on external screen. laptop works fine, however, mdp hdmi cable hooked sony bravia in living room thunderbolt port working. older 23" dvi-based apple cinema display work or should brand new 23" external display made samsung or others? advice , personal experience in area appreciated. thanks!
if budget concern, wouldn't go apple display.
can 23" monitors (1920x1080 resolution) less $200, , work fine mba (you need buy hdmi dongle adapter). used have set before buying current apple display 27" , worked well.
