OSX 10.6.8 iPhone USB tethering

please excuse me if not in correct place.

have macbook osx 10.6.8 , iphone 3gs (5.x). tethering used work on both usb , bluetooth. last week unknown reason, usb tethering stopped working on macbook still works on windows xp machine. bluetooth still works prefer usb tethering.

can still charge , sync data itunes through usb.

used see iphone listed under network preferences when connect through usb not on list either.

know went wrong or have possible solutions me?

i'm on bell mobility canada (allows tethering).

i running osx 10.7.3 , have exact same issue.

usb tethering not work anymore iphone 4s.

updated on phone , mbp , have verified tethering work via bluetooth , wifi.

recent change have made devices usual system updates , installed wacom tablet software on mbp.

chance did install wacom drivers?
