i've bought 11" 2011 macbook air use ios , web development , prepared in case gets stolen might able retrieve it.
i've been able far,
#1. i've paid subscription prey. covers lot of bases.
#2. i've set guest account , restricted changing important settings.
#3. i've got vnc , ssh access, no-ip.com's client running, , set auto connect open wifi networks.
#4. more protect me more anything, i've bought licence deep freeze (i've managed nuke few times deep freeze.)
#5. password protected efi boot menu.
#6. set wallpaper pictures of pretty ladies.
other ideas on can protect theft (besides ideas like, don't leave on bus)? keylogger installed , ready activated, can't seam find 1 looks credible. able monitor microphone on internet, can't find way either. don't trust prey's geo-ip accurate enough much, , camera if smart covered first thing feel more may needed.
none of things mention "protect" against theft.
