the 4 year imac thread brought interesting points how life can expect new mac, , how costs per year, factoring in upgrades.
have late '08 c2d 24" 3.06, 4gb, 500gb 7200 rpm, screen perfect, works perfectly, daily full time use. have admit, use basic functions, other 1 season of garageband mixing. it's mint.
interested in selling , have seen 1 or 2 sell on ebay close $900. (free ups shipping, , "office" included) 1 seller posted 7200 rpm upgrade or bonus model; same have btw. it's fast, pay provider call "turbo" internet booster...heheh.
got macworld flyer today "sell mac" vendor claimed top dollar... $380. , that's clicking "like new" button (just see). $380?

i've looked @ couple sites sell used imacs , figure machine on retail vendors "shelf" runs $1,100. may wrong haven't spent lot of time checking out, gives idea of how confusing can be.
i'm looking comments, insight on issue.
selling vendors going bring lower price , in instances (your situation) lot lower.
