there no reason can't buy mac wherever best deal , sign 1 on 1 when around it. used 1 on 1 , found worth it. came in projects set , ready go , spent hour apple guy doing project rather fiddling demos.

use dasboard, when want see it, works. on windows 7, ms has "gadgets" way mimic os x dashboard. talk epic fail. win 7 gadgets lose minds on daily basis. , i'm not talking third party stuff here. i'm talking weather , clock gadgets come microsoft. have grandfather clock needs hand winding once week. "westminster" older non self adjusting pendulum mechanism designed time in 18th century. mechanical grandfather clock needs less attention microsoft's windows 7 clock gadget! don't begrudge handing apple few more dollars better quality , better end end user experience.
attention detail, quality , reliability of apple devices, ipods iphones macs reason apple rakes in 75 percent of mobile phone profit in world these days , more valuable company exxon. have no compelling reason avoid going apple store "save few bucks" because money spend apple spent. relax. realize how money saved couple of years when windows loving friends replacing 2 year old computers , yours runs way did day bought it.
apple gear "old" today's standards...
have 2005 g4 mac mini running leopard. still runs fine.
have 2008 white macbook. still runs fine (which means can't justify 1 of shiny new macbook pros though i'd one!)
have various other mac minis nothing newer intel core duo. run better i5 based windows box use @ work every day.
wife need 1 on 1 classes? i'd no. still worth it. if want save few bucks, can buy mac anywhere , still take classes @ apple store recommend buying apple store.
