iTunes Artwork Issue

i'm having issues itunes 10.5.3.3. far i'm not impressed itunes , find brain dead.


background:

i'm windows xp sp3 user , use windows media player (wmp) 11 media player. *music* library 140-150 gb. 1,400 albums - 16,700 songs. rip music mp3 @ 320kbs. album art stored folder.jpg in album folder.

*primary* portable media player dell axim x50v running pocket pc 2003se. has windows media player 10 mobile pocket pc. store mp3s on 65gb compact flash cards use in pocket pc. 64gb cf card cost $125 - 128gb cf card $1000 - use 64gb (and couple of 32gb cards).

windows media player 10 mobile pocket pc can *not* display embeded art - must have folder.jpg in song directory display artwork. please no comments folder.jpg being old technology - , works on pocket pc. i'm not getting rid of them.

have spent last 6 weeks ripping cds mp3s , getting organized. spent hours tracking down proper artwork. albums had scan artwork myself.

redid wayward mp3 tags using mp3tag 2.49b (and there lot of bad inconsistant tags!).

keep music sorted 62gb chunks on computer:

music
music ii
music iii (big band)
music iv (classical)
music v (church)
music vi (christmas)
music vii (spoken)
music itunes bought
music zz rip (this have wmp rip cds it's easy find new rips need mp3tag tweaking).

ensures can load 64gb cf card out running out of space.

have found using pocket pc in car not easy using ipod. it's hard tap stylus while driving. on last 7 hour drive used wife's 30gb 5g video ipod , easier control. decided ipod use in car. got 240gb g5 video ipod can have loaded.

installed itunes , imported music folders 1 one. moved itunes folder data drive. far except abould artwork missing.

used 'get artwork' command found few albums. few minutes google , discovered itues doesn't use folder.jpg artwork. work arounds found have embend artwork *manually* each mp3 file. i'm not going 16,700 songs.

itunes *should* have option user can select says "use folder.jpg" artwork doesn't - brain dead! ugh!

bought $5 utility icoverart take folder.jpg , insert mp3 files. worked charm.

songs have *redundant* image stored in them wastes space (i know argument if song sent seperatley has artwork it. bs imho). have remove songs 64gb cf cards make space embedded images.

my issue:

have embeded folder.jpg image mp3 files, itunes shows half albums artwork. rest blank. i've checked quite few songs itunes doesn't show artwork , mp3 file indeed have artwork embeded in it. why itunes not show it?
