Is the new iPad compatible with 5Ghz Wireless N?

and if (based on ipad 2 reference) perform better on 5ghz opposed 2.4ghz?

 

from understand, 5ghz networks faster, range half good. looking @ apple's tech specs, doesn't if supports 5ghz networks or not.
