If you delete messages from the outbox, does it stop it from being sent?

hi,

typed e-mail earlier , tapped send on mac mail (gmail-hosted account), , put laptop sleep. opened 4 hours later , under outbox, , said time session timed out.

deleted outbox, , drafts well, in case send again since 1 said morning, , afternoon.

e-mail important (committee dissertation invite) don't want dummy sending twice, 1 saying morning , other afternoon

safe can send again without worrying might send other 1 later on well?

hi ..

if message stuck in outbox -it means not sent-so if u delete -it should not go recipient .

tip :from next time -when sending important email -mark bcc know whether other person has received or not .
